This week’s round-up has a hotel, cowbell and something called a Kokonut.
1. Richmond.com compiled a handy list of places to enjoy this lovely weather we are having. I agree with the majority of this list. Note on Postbellum-it is indeed a wonderful place to enjoy a beverage, however their HH ends at 6. So do with that what you will.
2. Have y’all heard of the Quirk Hotel? It’s an art deco hotel opening September 17th. The WSJ did a nice write-up about it and frankly, I can’t wait til that rooftop bar opens!
3. Some place called Kokonut Grill just opened. I have no idea what a Kokonut is but, it’s asian food that looks amazing is all you need to know. But in case you need more information. Here’s the BizSense article on the new restaurant.
4. Do you know Walter Bundy? No? He’s the head the chef at Lemaire at the moment. But soon to open his very own southern inspired restaurant in the new Libbie Mill-Midtown area. (Where Southern Season is y’all.) Richmond.com interviewed him about it.

Some great stuff going on in RVA this weekend : NASCAR, Shockoe on the Half Shell, Hardywood releases their pumpkin beer. Get out there and enjoy!
