Cooking with Butter

 

I believe in good. Good friends. Good times. Good food. I believe in loving the food I eat, whether it’s a salad or chicken wings. I believe in breakfast. I believe in burgers. I believe in chicken biscuits. I believe in spaghetti. I believe in oysters. I believe in macaroni and cheese. I believe in chicken quesadillas. And tacos...obviously.

 

My philosophy behind cooking stems from wanting to eat something delicious. I cook with butter because it’s real and makes everything better. I don’t like masking food with fake “healthy” stuff. I don’t believe in depriving myself. I put good things in my body - both delicious, healthy and unhealthy. I eat salads and enjoy them, but I also eat a rare steak straight off the grill and enjoy it (and to be completely honest, more than most salads)!

 

I think it’s important to want to eat what you are eating. I don’t think you should dread a meal. Food should be good for the soul, mind and body. Sometimes that means dad’s mac and cheese and sometimes that means a fresh pressed juice.

 

I know what I like. I love to try new things. I love to experiment in my kitchen. I often open the pantry and kitchen and just make up a dish from there. Most of the time it turns out great, sometimes there is...room for improvement.
