Doors of RVA : Red Edition

According to good ole' Google the color red seems to be the color of energy, passion and action. Well PERFECT because I feel passionate about how amazing these red doors are this week!

Red is a powerful color. Certainly eye catching and not for the shy. Each of these doors has a completely different style to them, but each is magnificant.

So without further adieu, here are four fantastic red doors found in the Fan and Museum District.

Oops this one is a bit blurry (remember, I'm walking a dog, trying not to look like a psycho and often have a lovely bag of poop in hand, clear pictures are hard to come by in those circumstances), regardless I love the all Americanness of this door. They just really freakin love the USA and that makes me really freakin love this door. (Taken during the UCI Bike Race.)

As you may have noticed this door is not actually a front door, rather a second story (probably never used) door. I spotted this one from across the street and it pulled me in. It pulls your eye right up to the second level, "screw you front door, it's my time to shine." Although I've truely never understood the purpose of these types of doors (ones that you can open, but don't go anywhere) I think I may have discovered that they are meant to be painted an eye catching color and have terra cotta pots all around.

This door screams look at me surrounded by its crisp white borders and accessories. Not to mention the beauty that is that painted blue brick. I'm OBSESSED with these archways (there's a bunch in the fan, but they never get old to me), they scream I'm grand and beautiful inside. I also can't say no to a rocker. Now I want cool summer breeze and a mint julep.

This right here is the mac daddy - the perfect door. I almost wrecked my car the first time I saw it and all it's double wide textured capacity. This bohemouth is located on Kensington in the Museum District and is worth your time to go look at. My picture does not do it justice. With that being said, the greenery in the picture just goes so well, amIright?

OK there you are, happy door day! Hopefully this makes you energetic, passionate and actionable - all those things red is supposed to do. If it didn't, go get a coffee, it literally works the same.
