Drive down Monument Avenue and you see beautiful homes you can never afford, churches you will likely never set foot in, highly controversial Monuments and one random, hole in the wall dungeon of a noodle bar.
So, on a windy fall afternoon, of course we had to try one of the first noodle joints in the city - My Noodle and Bar. (Not gonna lie, we were hungry, so it was technically morning when we got there...11:30 am, right when they opened. OK that was another lie, we thought they opened at 11, so we got there at like 11:07, realized they weren’t open and took a Sunday stroll...then sat outside for 5 minutes like desperate noodle losers until the restaurant opened...we were the first customers of the day.)

Our delicious mimosas
The decor was immediately underwhelming, however I was informed by a nice gentleman that they are about to go under a renovation, swings were mentioned, I’m not sure why, I was distracted by the dumplings that had just arrived.

Dumplings...I got excited and ate one
Mimosas, pork dumplings, lo mein for me, love boat noodle soup for Blaine (I was informed it was not ordered due to his love for me). The dumplings, per usual with any dumpling, I loved! They had some crunchies on top that I forgot to ask about. Every dish seemed to come with Sriracha lines on the plate (I’m not complaining). The lo mein was pretty good too! Blaine enjoyed his noodle soup, per usual.

Lo Mein with shrimp and chicken
The staff was incredibly friendly, the service quick. All in all a good trip. Interested about these swings to come, wish I had actually paid attention.
