My RVA 5: My Favorite Fan Happy Hours

It’s no secret I love The Fan. There are countless bars and restaurant all within close proximity. It sets itself up well for a bar crawl, but on the casual Monday or Tuesday, it’s also great for happy hour. Here are a few of my favorites.

3 Monkeys - while this may be the bar you always came to after college, the honest truth is that they probably have the best happy hour in the city. It’s everyday from 4-8pm. YES everyday. That includes Saturday and Sunday. They have beers for $2 off, wine for $3 and specialty cocktails for $4. They also have food specials on Monday ($5 apps) and Tuesday ($5 burgers). Sullivan’s - again, on any given weekend night this place is crawling with people you question their legal ability to drink, but they do have an amazing happy hour. They have $4 wine and $2 domestic beers, but the real star here is their tacos. They have $1 tacos! Their happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3-7pm. Seriously go eat those tacos. They are the bomb! My favorite are the fish and bang bang shrimp tacos. They keep their Facebook up to date with the daily happenings.
Curbside - they win the award for latest happy hour, it runs from 4-9pm every weekday. Their beer is $3 (except $2 domestic) and $4 wine and rails. On Tuesdays, you can get 3 tacos for $2. You can choose either beef or chicken, soft or hard and they are great. Check out their Facebook for daily specials.
Pearl - hands down the best food happy hour out there. They have starters like jalapenos hushpuppies, guacamole and roasted mussels, but I think their real treasure is the raw bar. You can get 1 dozen oysters for $9, 1 dozen crab legs for $10.95 and so on. They also have certain drink and food specials depending on the night. See the full menu here.
Stuzzi - last but not least another amazing food deal. They have different specials every week. On Monday’s they have margherita pizza for $3. Get there before 6pm and you can get specials on apps too! $3 pasta deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays Grandma’s pizza is $3. They have drink specials that vary per night. Trust me when I say you must try the margherita pizza, it’s amazing. Check out their website for more about their menu.
