OMG what!? Seriously August, the Olympics are this month, this is the last full month of summer, what is going on?

I’ll tell you what’s going on! (Sorry guys, I’m not yelling, just freaking out a little about how summer is two months in.)

Have you guys heard of 804day at Buskey Cider? It’s basically a day to celebrate what is really cool about Richmond at one of our newest watering holes. Happening tomorrow, August 4th.
The Olympics start Friday August 5th. Time to see American dominate! In true American fashion we will be having a beer olympics party to kick off the event.
The Shack Up has got to be one of the best things. It’s just a bunch of bands jamming out for a weekend at various venues on Broad Street. Happening this weekend, August 5 through 7.
The Midtown State Fair is happening at Libbie Mill on August 8th. It’s the first year, but it sounds pretty cool!
The Richmond Jazz Festival at Maymont is also happening this month. A few bucks and you can go support one of the greatest places in RVA happening August 11.
Carytown Watermelon Festival is hands down my favorite event to happen in Richmond every year. Spiked watermelon everything all along the streets of Carytown, does it get better? No, head to Carytown on August 14 for the fun.
Not that exciting for y’all, but I am getting my first ever professional highlight on August 19th. My BFF had hers done and I fell in love with it and demanded to know who what when where I could have the same. TDB on how much I love the price tag!
My other BFF’s wedding reception is on August 20th. Oh how I love to dance!
RVA BrewBQ is August 21. Literally two amazing things combined. Go enjoy, eat and drink!
We will again be having our bocce finals at the Kickers on August 27. It’s always super fun. (I mean we get to have a couple kegs on the field, so yea.)
