My word it’s November. And I’ve been a terrible blogger. In October I was barely at home and Phoebe was not very happy. From Halloween to Ad Club’s many events, it was a busy month. As the holidays approach, I can’t imagine life will slow down at all. In my family, holidays are not small affairs. At certain Thanksgivings we’ve had 50 people in attendance. I always try to remember to take a step back and just be grateful this time of year.
Here are a few things I’m looking forward to in November:
5 - Hardywood’s Gingerbread Stout Release. Basically Christmas in bottle. And damn is it good.
8 - Election Day. It may not be pretty, but it is our right as Americans to have this day. As a Richmonder, I have a special interest in this mayoral election.
11 - InLight. If you’ve never been before it’s an art show that uses light as it’s medium. This year it’s being held in Scott’s Addition this.
13 - Friendsgiving. My sister is hosting this. It shall be interesting.
15 - Small Business Forum hosted by Thrive, the Chamber’s mentor group. I am a mentor in this group and it is an awesome resource for small businesses in the city.
17 - Beaujolais Release Party with Advertising Club of Richmond. Beaujolais is a special released specifically on this day. So, Ad Club is hosting a happy hour it!
23 - Thanksgiving Eve. You can find me dancing at the Tobacco Company at the annual Gravy Ball.
24 - Thanksgiving.Oh the food! I’m making an appetizer this year. Any suggestions?
26 - Keller Williams at the National. Sounds like a great show.

Last year's InLight at VMFA.
With Virginia Tech games every weekend and holiday events, November is shaping up to be another busy one!
