2017 and a Snow Day

It’s 2017 and there is snow on the ground. Richmond is fresh out of bread and milk and in about 3 hours drunk people will be bar crawling through The Fan for their snow day. I’m inside, I’ve only been out because I have a dog who has not learned how to use the toilet.
Seven days into 2017 and I need to make (confess) a few resolutions I feel like I should focus on this year.
Get back to the gym. Confession...I haven’t worked out since September...yikes. I’m nervous to start over after a dedicated two year routine of getting up at 5:30 am everyday for barre. This time, I don’t want to wake up all that early, but I do want to be healthy. I’m thinking Crunch because it is close by and offers classes for $20 a month. I loved barre but it was expensive. Suggestions welcome! I’m also trying to take Phoebe for a 20 minute walk at least once a day. I think the cardio (can I call it that) will be great for both of us.
Appreciate friends and family. I have good people in my life and sometimes I take that for granted. I want to not just appreciate, but show my appreciation.
Embrace experiences. Sometimes I say no to things because I’m being lazy, or I’m tired, or I just don’t feel like it. This year I want to say yes to more things that will enrich my life.
Be better with money. Like where does it all go? But seriously, I’d like to get a good handle on this to set myself up for success later in my life. Plus for my 30th birthday in a couple years, I’d like to buy myself a place to live.
Don’t hold on to unnecessary things. Things like clothes, shoes, random office supplies, you name it. Keeping my life and home clutter free is a big goal for 2017.
Can I do it? Well, I’ve already said yes to a snow day party with friends so #2 and #3 are already off to a good start. Oh and I’m walking there because of the snow, so #1, also a check!
