Something I really wanted to do in 2017 was to say yes to new things. This week I had ice cream, went to the ballet and supported a startup
Gelati Celesti Opens In Scott’s Addition
Gelati Celesti opened its doors on Thursday on Boulevard to much fanfare. They offered free ice cream all day, which just makes them even better. I went at about 4:30 and the place was full but I was able to get my ice cream quickly. I chose the “Don’t Ask” - chocolate decadence swirled with oreo and peanut butter. It was delicious!

The Annex
I went to a kickstarter launch party for Handsocks. Handsocks is a local startup that makes mittens for infants and children to prevent scratching and keep their hands warm. It was held at the Annex. The Annex recently opened this summer and is a startup incubator.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream
My mom, sister and I went to the ballet Saturday afternoon. A Midsummer Night’s Dream has always been one of my favorite Shakespeare plays and I was excited to see it was playing here in Richmond. The performance was awesome with ballet from the Richmond Ballet and music from the Richmond Symphony.
