Last week was a busy one for me work wise, but I was still able to get out and do some fun things in the city. I spoke to a class at VCU, had some of my favorite ice cream and hung out with my girlfriends. Oh, and went to a beer dinner at The Boathouse. I guess my week was pretty delicious.
Speaking at VCU
My friend Christina teaches a professionalism in Public Relations class at VCU. I was thrilled when she asked me to come sit in with her class on a panel Monday. It was me and another girl from another agency in town. Students asked us questions and we shared our experience of finding a job, networking throughout the city and more.
Connect@ Gelati Celesti
I think it is pretty obvious I go to a lot of networking events. I don’t do it because I am forced to, I do it because I like to meet new people and experience new things. Tuesday the Retail Merchants Association hosted their monthly after work networking event at Gelati Celesti. And they had Ardent and Buskey Cider. Beer and ice cream...what could be better! The RMA is a great organization in the RVA area. Not just for traditional retailers, they have a focus on being loyal to local businesses, which I love.

Girls' Night
I am lucky to have a lot of my girlfriends live right here in RVA. We aren’t all able to get together all the time, but when we do it is always a blast. This Thursday we went to Foo Dog, one of our favs, for drinks and apps. After, we ventured to the new restaurant Flora to try out some Paloma’s. Such a fun evening!

Beer Dinner with Trapezium Brewery at The Boathouse
Friday evening I enjoyed an amazing dinner out at The Boathouse at Sunday Park. It was in collaboration with Trapezium Brewery. Check out the details here.
