The first half of my week was spent trying to spend time outside when I wasn’t working. I went for an AM walk with Phoebe on Monday and did yoga outside on Tuesday. Of course there was bocce on Wednesday. The second half of my week was consumed with preparing for The Richmond Show.
King of Pops Yoga
One thing I love about Richmond is the community love. Starting this week King of Pops puts on a free outdoor yoga for any and everyone! Hundreds of people show up and the instructor does a wonderful job making sure all those people can hear and feel good. Plus, there are free pops at the end, what’s not to love?

The calm before the storm!

Literally hundreds of people show up to this
Boulevard, Burger and Brew
This is basically a weekly thing now that bocce is back, but I have to brag on their amazingness. First off, they create a special burger just for bocce night. I have not once had a repeat. I love the creativity that goes into their creations. This week was spectacular (per usual) with a fried green tomato topped with goat cheese. The cheese was amazing and perfect creaminess to the crunch of the fried green tomato.
The Richmond Show
Aka the biggest event for the year for the Ad Club. We spend all day Friday setting up and month and months of prep before that. Then at 6 pm the bar opens, people start to flow in and night is over before it begins. We have a 2 hour cocktail and app portion, then the main event - the awards show, then an after party. It’s a long exhausting day but well worth the time and effort to see everything come together.
