It was a beautiful week in RVA, until the rain came. I know rain is necessary but when you are sitting outside and there is threat of rain so you take off your sandals and run for it in the downpour, it’s kind of hard to appreciate. My week, of course, had bocce, beer, pizza and a burger. I also went to one of my favorite networking events Creative Mornings and my favorite happy Hour at the VMFA.
Bocce
We had another great bocce week with awesome pizza and beer at Triple Crossing on Tuesday. I tried the new Paranoid Aledroid, which was really good. Hardywood was also successful and so was the special bocce burger from Boulevard Burger and Brew. We got a bonus this week and had a hot dog as well. The burger was topped with fried pickles.

A tasty pizza from Triple Crossing

Creative Mornings
This is one of the best networking events in Richmond. I try my best to go every month. This month’s theme was “Beyond” the speaker was Rupa Singh, owner of Love This, a mobile boutique she operates out of an airstream. She educated the group on looking beyond the product you are buying to find out how it was made, who made it, etc. It was an incredible speech and morning.

VMFA Happy Hour
I feel so lucky to live in a town that has an incredible museum. I feel even luckier that this museum has an awesome happy hour every single Friday. I made my way over after work and snagged a seat on the patio with my friend. We bought a bottle of wine, which was half price for happy hour and enjoyed the sunny weather. It is an incredibly popular happy hour so buying a bottle is essential, or double up on your order because the lines can get pretty long.
Next week is Restaurant Week and I have three reservations. I am also headed to a blogger event at The Boathouse. It’s going to be packed but super fun. It’s also the last week of April. Crazy!
