It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done this because I haven’t actually been in RVA for awhile (at least on the weekends), but this week I was here and had a blast! My favorite food festival was this past weekend, plus my second favorite. We also hosted our bocce finals at the Richmond Kickers game on Saturday.

All the events
Greek Festival
This is by far my favorite thing in RVA. I look forward to the amazing food, dancing, and wine every year. I went Thursday evening and ended up staying for four hours. We ran into friends and had a blast. I got the gyro. It’s honestly the best. I’ve never had a better one. Pro Tip: Get the wine before you stand in the food lines.
Bocce Finals
Every spring season we host our finals at the Kickers game. It is a very fun afternoon, we order kegs and have them right on the side lines. This year for the first time we had the Hardywood group play against our newest division at Triple Crossing. We played bocce in the afternoon and then stayed on for the Kickers game. If you haven’t been to City Stadium for a game, it really is blast!

Winners!
Broad Appetit
Another amazing food festival here in Richmond. Several blocks of Broad Street are shut down in the Arts District with $3 plates from many of the area’s best restaurants as they compete for best dish. If you’ve never been, mark it down for next year as it is a must attend event!

A burger and fries from Carytown Burger and Fries

Shrimp and crab stuffed avocado from Uptown Alley (yep, you read that right)
