2017 Goals: Mid-Year Check-In

I’ve had these goals each month and promised to check back in July to add my last half. I really like that I chose this instead of a New Year’s resolution. It gives me something to focus on each month and build upon. So here I am to see how I’ve done and give myself some new goals.

Nailed my goal to spend time in the sun in June

January - create goals

I did that pretty well.

February - Organization

  • Complete January cure

  • Identify opportunities

I did most of the assignments and am constantly assessing and asking myself if I need something. This was one of the harder goals, but I find myself coming back to it all the time.

March - Fitness

  • Establish routine

  • Find fun ways to exercise

While I am by no means a gym rat, I do see the inside of the gym at least once a week, which was a big move from the months before I tackled this. I enjoy Crunch and my BBG workouts. I don’t know that I have nailed “fun ways to exercise.”

April - Outdoors

  • Spend time outdoors

  • Explore the city

  • Hike the mountains

  • Make a plan each weekend

  • Have an outdoor picnic party with girlfriends (Libby Hill?)

This was by far my least successful month goal. April in general was busy with terrible weather.

May - Food

  • Establish healthy eating habits

  • Learn how to meal prep

  • Focus specifically on lunch

I did this OK. I chose a horrible month though. I went to Charleston and took a long weekend for Memorial Day. The beginning of the month was more successful than the end. I am still really working on this.

June - Sunshine

  • Do activities to spend time in the sun

  • Go to the pool

  • Go to the river

  • Day trip to the beach

Nailed this. As I type I am very tan and spent the last six days poolside. I basically spend every weekend at the pool and I love it!

July - Reevaluate Goals

Hey! I’m doing that right now.

Now it’s time to create goals for the rest of the year. Stay tuned!
