Fitness Update: May/June

I'm sitting here on my couch after going to work for the first time in a week drinking beer and now is when I feel like updating you on my fitness "progress." (I use that term so loosely.) It was the week of the Fourth and I just feel like the world stops being normal. I went to the pool six days in a row - left work early on Friday and basically just never left. Wasn't thrilled with what I was showing off in my bikini to be perfectly honest. But here I sit being lazy and drinking a beer. So is life.

And this is why I need to go to the gym
I actually was on a roll in May before I left for vacation in Charleston (where I actually worked out). But getting back from vacation and then Memorial Day has really ruined me. I'm hoping to get back on track next week (might as well ride the rest of this one out with beers and pool this weekend).
Here it is:
MAY
May 1 - No gym today.
May 2 - Week 2 of BBG started today. It was leg day. We did weird jumping things that my body is not coordinated enough for.
May 3 - Abs and arm day for BBG. Not too bad and I’m not nearly as sore as last week. I think that was a little shock to my system.
May 4 - Full body BBG day. I was actually more sore from abs and arm day than I was from leg day. That doesn’t normally happen.
May 5 - Friday. No gym.
May 9 - Another BBG day!
May 10 - BBG day, last day before Charleston. I actually made it to the gym BEFORE I left at 7am!
May 11 - I’m in Charleston and I’m working out.
May 16 - Normally we hit the gym on Tuesdays but Courtney texted me and couldn’t go and I was still so tired from Charleston.
May 17 - Back to it. BBG leg and cardio day. Honestly this was so hard after being out of town and basically taking 5 days off.
May 18 - BBG arm and ab day.
May 19 - I should have gone, but I didn’t...Getting back into a routine after vacation is hard.
May 23 - So I developed some allergies this week...fun! Can’t workout because I can’t breathe. Those things don’t mix.
JUNE
June 9 - Finally back in the gym after basically dying from allergies for 2 weeks. Good stuff. BBG week 5.
June 10 - BBG again. I went alone. It was so hard I kinda wanted to cry at one point.
June 11 - OH-MY-GOD. My body hurts so incredibly bad. BBG again.
June 15 - Didn’t do a thing over the weekend, but I did get up at 6am today to do yoga and take Pheebs for a nice walk. I feel good about that.
June 16 - BBG week 6 start. Body feels better after getting back to it last week.
June 17 - BBG again. Honestly these workouts are so hard. I’ve come out of the gym so sweaty.
June 18 - Last day of BBG week 6. Basically dying.
June 23 - I’m so bad about working out on the weekends. I need to do better. No one could meet at the gym this morning, so I just did some yoga at home.
June 27 - No one could do our “normal” Tuesday, so I bailed too.
June 28 - Lauren and I went and did the Wednesday from last week that we never got too from BBG.
June 29 - I failed the rest of the week. Twisted my ankle (no idea how) so I asked if we could go Friday.
June 30 - Left my phone at happy hour. No alarm. Never woke up.
Obviously this needs work. I've been thinking I really need to be going more than three times a week to get myself into a better routine. I'm thinking about biking on my "off" days.
