August Goals
So it’s August. As hard to believe as that is, I am still trying to savor summer. I still want to spend as much time outside as possible. I still go to the pool whenever possible. I still wear sundresses and shorts.
But, my August goal is to “clean up.” What does that mean?
Deal with all clothes, donations, etc.
Get everything dry cleaned, fixed, etc.
Look at clothes and everything to see if I can purge more
I like to consign clothes I don’t use, but I have trouble donating them when they aren’t accepted. It may sound greedy, but these are nice clothes I spent money, I feel like I want to get a few dollars back.
I tend to go to Clementine, as I think they take good quality clothes and I see a good ROI on these. Ashby takes less expensive clothes, but you don’t get much money for them. I also use the app Poshmark to sell clothes through that. While I think this is effective, it is slow and I still have to have the clothes in my apartment.

A stack of clothes I need to get out
I really want to learn to let it go. Clean up and just let go of the clothes and the clutter. I also have a stack of dry cleaning and some jewelry that needs to get fixed.
And finally, what else can go? I think back to the talk I went to in February from Creative Mornings. The owner of Minima asked us to look at everything and ask if it fits either of these questions: is it functional? Does it make you happy?
I hope y’all enjoy this warm weather as much as I do and if you have any advice on donating, consigning or purging, let me know!
