RVA This Week, actually, Summer: So much food, beer and other
I’ve been busy eating and drinking my way through RVA this summer. So this isn’t a week download, but truly what I’ve been up for the better part of the summer.
Charcuterie Platters
Let’s talk about god’s gift to earth...meat and cheese on a plate, with bread. I mean it really doesn’t get much better. I’ve had two super fantastic ones: Graffiato (more on that dinner here) and Triple Crossing. Yep, the beer place. You can have Falcon Smash AND feel classy AF.

Graffiato nails their meat and cheese situation

The billy bread may have been my favorite part of this meal
Hot Dogs
My sister just told me that Americans consume something like 18 billion hot dogs a year (amount being pulled from my brain, not actually data) and I feel like I am a big part of that industry. Boulevard, Burger and Brew serves up an awesome GIANT dog. Yes, my standard Wednesday burger spot. Topped with peppers, onions and all the condiments, it is delicious, but you may want to bring a friend to help you eat it.
My office took an outing to the Flying Squirrels and of course I had to get a hot dog. Nothing better than an afternoon with a beer and hot dog watching some balls fly.

Gose
I am not a fan of sour beers. I am not a fan of sour beers. Well, maybe I am now. I tried the Three Notch’d Watermelon Gose the other day and it was fantastic! I had three. I love the vibe in Three Notch’d. We spent a lazy Saturday afternoon there, sipping beers and playing games.

New Places
I mentioned I tried Graffiato (been for drinks, never food) and it was wonderful. I also went to Eleven Months for our monthly Ad Club Happy Hour. The food was so tasty and the atmosphere was amazing. If you have not been to this pop-up yet, get in there before they switch it up!

It has been a fun, busy summer and I cannot believe it is now August. I’ve spent most of the summer lounging by the pool, reading library books, trying local beer and food, and just generally enjoying myself. I enjoy fall just as much as the next gal, but I will truly miss these dog days of summer.

Just another amazing thing I've eaten: pimento cheese fries
