September Restaurant Club was my pick! We went to Pasture, a place I had never been (because of the rules). It has been on my list for so long and I was excited to try it. We got there and were seated quickly. I immediately loved what I was seeing. It was open, yet cozy, and the color scheme was really calling my name. I felt right at home.
We were getting settled in and given drink menus. All the drinks looked so great. I decided on the champagne cocktail (I can’t remember what it was called). It was so delicious, it was dangerous. After a while, all of our party arrived and we started with some appetizers.
I got the classic Ritz crackers with pimento cheese. I could have eaten buckets of it. The crackers were served in a brown paper bag and the perfect compliment to the southern staple. Our table also got the fried sweet pickle chips. Those were excellent as well. This southern comfort restaurant was really hitting home to start.

It took forever for us to decide on dinner. It all looked so good and we got so distracted (big group problems), but eventually we all figured it out. I ordered the bistro steak with collards and cornbread. The steak was wonderful and collards tasted great. The cornbread was classic, but I am more into sweet cornbread, so it wasn’t my absolute favorite. Other people got various other menu items like, the bolognese, frito pie and other yumminess. Overall we all really enjoyed our meals.

I will be returning to Pasture. I need that pimento cheese and also I want to try more drinks from their amazing cocktail menu.
