How I’m Spending My Christmas Break

I am lucky enough to work for an employer that gives me some decent time off around the holidays. I am extra lucky that I don’t travel for the holidays. My mom’s family all lives here and we spend both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with them. My aunt throws an amazing holiday open house on Christmas Eve that is really fun and casual. Then we have a more intimate Christmas dinner with the family. (If intimate is 20 people that is.) But, besides those things I have a few things I want to do:

  1. Finishing the pile of magazines on my coffee table. I have been using the library so much this year that my stack of Vogues has been neglected.

  2. Prepping my planner for 2018. This is honestly one of my favorite things to do. I splurged and got this one.

  3. Doing some Thrive work. This is an organization that I am a mentor for and I have few mentees I am doing some work for over the next few weeks.

  4. Celebrating with my two best friends. We have been friends since high school and always exchange gifts and celebrate. This year we are going to Can Can!

  5. Reconnecting with out-towners. I love seeing people who come back in town for the holidays.

  6. Prepping for the January Cure from Apartment Therapy. I have done this the past few years. It’s a great way to clean up your home with an organized plan.

  7. Walking Phoebe. Of course I do this regularly, but it’s nice when it doesn’t have a time limit and we can just wander around.

  8. Spending New Year’s Eve with friends. We aren’t doing anything big and flashy, just a get together at someone’s house which I think will be perfect.

  9. Going to see the Terracotta Army at the VMFA. I have not been yet, but I have heard wonderful things. Bonus: Just saw on their website they have an audio tour.

  10. Thinking about my 2018 goals.

Any suggestions on anything fun to do around Richmond over the next week?
