I moved this weekend! It was bittersweet to say goodbye to my tiny apartment in The Fan. I will miss my daily walks through the VMFA gardens the most. But, I am very excited to live with my sister in Scott’s Addition. I am already loving the neighborhood (and living 500 feet from ZZQ).

Where I've been fueling up:
After getting our keys to the kingdom we decided we needed to celebrate. We went to PBR. This is becoming a new favorite. We got some delicious whiskey mules and pizza that was truly delicious.

Since living in Scott’s Addition for less than a week, I have already been to ZZQ twice. It really is that good. I got the brisket once and the short ribs once. Both were fabulous. And because I am not crazy I got the jalapeno mac and cheese both times.
Ardent is directly across the street from our apartment. It’s a little dangerous. I went twice in one day. Once to eat at the food truck for a lunch break during our move. (Great pizza from River City Wood Fired Pizza.) The other was to take my aunt out for a beer who was passing through town. We ended up having three, because they were delicious and we were catching up. I got the IPA 35 each trip and it was great. Just the right amount of hops to make it really taste like an IPA.
I’m never not doing something for Ad Club. I was meeting up with someone on Sunday and they chose Vasen. I got the “Everything Floats on Soursop.” It was a sour IPA and surprisingly good!
I also have no shame in admitting I went to Stella’s Market twice in one day. The first trip was to grab a coffee. I got the best latte ever. It was just the espresso with soy milk, but I was impressed. It certainly gave me the fuel I needed to clean my old apartment for move out. My second trip was to grab dinner. I got the orecchiette with sausage, kale and white beans. It was beyond exceptional. I also grabbed a bottle of wine that was pretty tasty.
What I've been reading up on:
All the cuts of beef broken down here.
I didn't have a lot of free time, so not much else.
What else:
I was able to enjoy the July 4th fireworks from the roof of my new apartment. Even though we didn’t have anything moved in, I invited a few friends over because I knew the view would be perfect. And it was! You can see the fireworks at the Diamond perfectly and we could see at least five other shows off in the distance.
I am headed to Paris for a week on Wednesday. I am so excited! It is a trip long in the making with my sister and mom. We will be shopping, sightseeing and eating for 7 days straight.
